The best thing about Lillington is it’s residents! We have so many incredibly passionate people who give their time and skills to support others, and in return it gives them a sense of purpose and feelgood. It’s a win-win!!
Volunteers are often called ‘unsung heroes’ – but not in Lillington! We want everyone to know how many amazing people we have here and the fabulous things they do that makes Lillington the fabulous place to be.
And we hope they will inspire you to get stuck in too! It’s a way to meet new people, make new friends, and have lots of fun. Your time and skills will always be greatly appreciated and you can do as little and as often as you like.

Local Dementia Support champion – meet Tony Britton!
One Lillington resident has been making a difference in his community for over a decade. We would like to introduce the wonderful Tony Britton who started the Pam Britton Trust for Dementia to support people to live as well as possible within their family and local community.
One Lillington resident has been making a difference in his community for over a decade. We would like to introduce the wonderful Tony Britton who started the Pam Britton Trust for Dementia to support people to live as well as possible within their family and local community.
Tony set up the trust in honour of his wife, Pam who lives with the condition. He started the first dementia support group and today he supports 11 groups in South Warwickshire, all run by volunteers like himself!
For all his hard work Tony has received the Lord Mayor’s Award, the Freedom of the District Award, and also the Queens Award for Volunteering. Tony has plans to bring his dementia support group to his own community:
“It would give me great pleasure to see a Dementia Support group here in Lillington. I’ve cared for my wife over 12 years and I know how exhausting it can be. Every person suffering with dementia is unique and I think they need to be looked after in their own homes by their loved ones, by friends and family, and in fact by the whole community.”
